Old Barns are one of the common sites in Shelby County Iowa but if you pass by Jim and Amy McCallan's barn, you'll see that it's not a common site anymore. It was painted with colors and complete designs of the Iowa flag along with the eagles, banner and words in it.
Jim said that he was inspired to paint the barn during the heat of the presidential election where everyone seemed to be along political lines everywhere in the Shelby County.
