    Huh?

I'm sorry but by thbis logic every single house that was built as well as barns, buses, trolleys and whatever else back then was around should all be saved as heritage. the author is assuming that once these dilapidated barns are torn down, no new ones will be built. since farming and agrobusiness is the top economic producer for Ohio, I am betting that barns will not dissapear but new, larger ones will be rebuilt.
